Honoring Our Veterans Race Car Program
I am putting together a program called Honoring Our Veterans. I feel that we owe all our veterans a very huge THANK YOU!!! Many of them gave their life, and everyone of them gave all they had to give to preserve and protect our right to freedom.
I know I am guilty of this too. I am here to tell you right now. I will strive to go out of my way to say THANK YOU to any and all veterans and/or military personel I see. To many times our service people have been ignored and forgotten, until Memorial Day comes and then in a brief few minutes we remember them. Only to go about our daily routine until next year. If it wasn't for our veterans, regardless of the military branch or the war they fought, and even our current military people watching over our freedom. We would not be here right now. Therefore, I am changing the look of my race car. Automotive racing product decals will be minimal. I hope to cover every available spot on the car with the name of a veteran.

This is our 1975 Chevrolt Mailbu Street Sock race car
This is the car that will be displaying the names of our veterans. The first name being in honor of my Dad. Master Sargent Marvin R."Bob" Lewis Sr. (World War II) veteran. He passed away Nov. 20, 1983. And I still miss him very much.
Help Us Cover This Car With Veteran's Names
In our "Honoring A Veteran" program, for 25 dollars a year the name of your veteran can be proudly displayed on our race car. I am going to have a monthly newsletter available by email or conventional mail to members of this program. It will include up to date news about our racing. As well as a list of businesses that offer a discount to veterans and/or military personel on the goods and/or services they provide. I would like to call on everyone to help with the Vetern's View Page of the newsletter. I want this page to be a place where anyone can share a story about their veteran and maybe some of their experiences or talk about a good friend they have or one they miss. The "Honoring Our Veteran's" program is open to everyone regardless of the military branch they served in and whether they are currently active, honorably discharged, retired, wounded, deceased, a prisoner of war, or missing in action. I hope that this will bring a well deserved understanding to everyone as to what it took for us to remain free to live our lives the way we choose.
